Healthy eating is a key part of leading a healthy life. Eating nutritious food gives us energy, promotes wellness and prevents chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease.
The Health Unit is here to support you, your family and the community in making healthy eating feasible at all stages of life. We do this by:
-
Providing you with education, skills and resources
-
Working with community partners to break down barriers to healthy food
-
Helping to develop food-related policies to prevent chronic disease and promote wellness in our district
