Overall Injury Trends
- Injury-related emergency department (ED) visit rates and hospitalization rates in the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit region decreased from 2003 to 2013, but remained higher than Ontario. Rates of injury-related mortality did not change from 2003-2011. Mortality rates in the Health Unit region were higher than Ontario in 2003-2006 and 2009-2011.

Where possible, comparisons have been made over a ten-year period (2004 to 2013 and 2002 to 2011), as well as between the geographic areas of the Health Unit region, the North East Local Health Integration Network, and Ontario.
