Public Service Announcement: Individuals 12 to 17 Soon Eligible for COVID-19 Booster Dose

NIPISSING & PARRY SOUND, ON – As of 8 a.m. tomorrow – Friday Feb. 18, 2022 – individuals 12 to 17 years of age will be eligible to book an appointment for their booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Individuals who would like to have their booster dose are encouraged to book an appointment or walk into a Health Unit vaccine clinic. Clinic appointments can be booked online at Ontario.ca/BookVaccine, or by calling the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit’s call centre at 1-844-478-1400. Appointments can also be booked at select pharmacies.

Booster dose appointments for 12 to 17-year-olds can be booked if 168 days have passed since their second dose. Individuals must be at least 12 years of age at the time of vaccination.

Walk-ins are welcome at all Health Unit clinics. For a list of upcoming clinics, visit myhealthunit.ca/GetVaccinated, or contact the Health Unit call centre.
