NIPISSING & PARRY SOUND, ON – Effective Thursday, April 29 at 9 a.m., individuals in the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Health Unit) region born in 1966 or before will be able to book an appointment to attend local COVID-19 vaccine clinics. Individuals who meet this criteria can book by calling the Health Unit Call Centre at 1-800-563-2808 and will be able to book online as of tomorrow, April 30 at www.ontario.ca/BookVaccine. The Health Unit requests individuals born in 1966 or before use the provincial online booking system if possible, as local Call Centre volume continues to be high. When booking online, individuals may be able to book a same-day appointment at the April 30 Memorial Gardens clinic in North Bay.
Child care workers in licensed child care settings and individuals with high risk health conditions cannot book online and may continue to book by calling the Health Unit Call Centre at 1-800-563-2808.
Appointments are available for COVID-19 vaccine clinics taking place as early as Friday, April 30 in North Bay. A full list of local clinics and more information on booking appointments can be found on the Health Unit website at www.myhealthunit.ca.
The Health Unit Call Centre will be open today until 8 p.m. as well as Saturday, May 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to support those who require assistance booking an appointment and to accommodate anticipated high call volumes.
