NORTH BAY, ON – The COVID-19 vaccine clinic scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 11 at Elks Lodge in North Bay has been extended, and will now run from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Health Unit) made the change in response to a high demand for appointments.
The two-hour extension opens the opportunity for more individuals aged six months and older to receive their vaccine this week. The Health Unit recommends booking an appointment. Walk-ins should be prepared to wait.
Booster doses for eligible individuals are available at all clinics. Appointments can be booked online at Ontario.ca/BookVaccine, or by calling the Health Unit call centre at 1-844-478-1400. Private appointments can be made through participating pharmacies in the Parry Sound and Nipissing districts.
