NORTH BAY, ON – The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit has received confirmation from Public Health Ontario labs that an additional 12 preliminary positive COVID-19 Variant of Concern (VOC) specimens are positive for the VOC originating from South Africa. All 12 of these individuals are connected to the COVID-19 Community Outbreak at Skyline-Lancelot Apartments.

NORTH BAY, ON – The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Health Unit) is confirming that a member of the St. Theresa Catholic School community has tested positive for COVID-19. Through case management and contact tracing, it was determined that there is no risk to the school community, as the individual was not on premises during their infectious period. A recently released story in the media has indicated that the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit will remain in Shutdown beyond March 8, 2021. At this time, we are unable to determine whether our district will remain in Shutdown with the Stay-at-Home Order in effect or move into the provincial framework after March 8, 2021.
