NIPISSING & PARRY SOUND, ON – COVID-19 vaccine clinics will take place in Nipissing and Parry Sound districts this week, with the flu shot offered to a limited number of walk-ins.

Individuals may walk in for a flu shot with or without also receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. It is safe to receive the flu shot at any point after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine, and vice versa.

STAND UP! Classes Are Back!

NEWS RELEASE

NORTH BAY, ON – STAND UP!, a free, 12-week fall prevention program for older adults, will be offered in the Nipissing and Parry Sound districts starting this January. The program focuses on building balance, strength and flexibility of older adults who are concerned about their balance or who have had a fall. The classes are offered twice a week in multiple communities.

NORTH BAY, ON – Influenza A, RSV, COVID-19 and other respiratory viruses are circulating throughout the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit’s region. Between December 18 and 20, the region had 156 emergency department visits for respiratory symptoms, making it extremely important that people use layers of protection to help prevent themselves and those around them from getting ill this holiday season.
